Skiing the Backcountry is a website dedicated to winter recreation and snow sports. We are a group of ski, snowboard, and snowmobile enthusiasts that love having fun on the snow and in the mountains.
One aspect in particular to snow sports that has been increasing dramatically in popularity is the use of the backcountry. While backcountry users experience a whole new way to enjoy the winter season, there are associated risks that can be very serious and demand that any user has adequate knowledge of.
